Storage

  • Can be handled in a safe manner in closed containers for a long period. Avoid contact with copper and its alloys. DNBA drums should be stored in a cool and well-ventilated area, away from sources of ignition.

Health & Safety

  • Di-n-Butylamine is irritating to skin, eyes, and mucous membrane. In case of contact, the affected area should be washed with plenty of water at least for 15 minutes. A dilute solution of Acetic Acid (2%) should be used to neutralize the amine. Continuous inhalation of fumes should be avoided. In event of inhalation, the victim should be moved to fresh air and oxygen should be administered. In case of ingestion, the victim should be made to consume a copious quantity of milk and water. A medical practitioner should be consulted at once.
  • Personal protective equipment should always be used while handling.
