AACL - An Illustrious History, A Promising Future
Established in 1979, Alkyl Amines Chemicals Ltd. (AACL) is a global supplier of aliphatic amines, specialty amines and amine derivatives to the pharmaceutical, agrochemical, water treatment, rubber chemical and a variety of industries.
We work closely with our customers to develop products for their requirements and cater to their specific needs on quality, specifications and supply chain.
Our focus on technology, scale of manufacturing as well as our ethical approach to business sets us apart as the partner of choice for amine chemistry.
Our Research Capabilities
All our products are developed by our dedicated research scientists and engineers at our technology center at Hadapsar, Pune, who interact with our customers to identify molecules of interest to scale up from gram to commercial. Intensive process development and analytical methods for impurity identification along with engineering optimization during scale up and haz-op analysis are conducted here.
We continue to augment our technology team and capabilities to expand our technical competence to platforms beyond amine chemistry.

What Are Amines?
Aliphatic amines are formed when an aliphatic molecule replaces one or more hydrogen atoms from ammonia. Industrially this is generally done by the reaction of an alcohol and ammonia, but can also be synthesized using other organic molecules like aldehydes etc.
Amines are generally characterized by an unpleasant, fishy odor. Being nitrogenous compounds, amines play a vital role in biological systems and form the building blocks in pharmaceutical, agrochemical, veterinary and nutritional industries.
Industrial Applications of Amines
Amines play a role as solvents, catalysts, intermediates as well as building blocks for a variety of end use industries. Notably in healthcare, amines are indispensable in the production of API’s. Similarly, amines are critical in the production of agrochemicals. Many personal care and detergents are based on amine moieties which provide key characteristics to the end molecule.
In industrial applications like gas treating, resins, coatings, water treatment and others, amines play varied functions, from adjusting the pH, absorbing carbon dioxide to controlling polymerization reactions.
The versatility of characteristics imparted by amines and the breadth of applications allows for a wide range of industrial uses and new product development.
